Department of Design
Department of Design - trains professionals in the field of graphic design, namely the typography, fonts, book design and illustration; Corporate identity, including brand names, logos, brand books; Visual communications, orientation systems (navigation and other pictograms); Poster products, including advertising posters; Visual solutions for product packaging (including confectionery and food); and design of interactive visual communications (computer graphics (vector, raster and 3D), flash animation, concept art, web-design, media space, advertising scenography, etc.).
Students master the basics of academic drawing and painting, study a package of popular computer programs in the field of design, as well as the basics of composition and project graphics, color science, history of graphic design, art history, the basics of shaping, computer technology software as well as the basics of vector graphics, fonts, package modeling, basics of photography, scenography, branding, and are getting acquainted with innovative trends.

Educational program guarantor. Artistic director of feature films of the highest category. His works are placed at in museums and in private collections within Ukraine and abroad. The research interests are scenography, painting, architecture, poster design, interior design.
He teaches the following disciplines as photography and photographic, scenography, design of exhibitions and fairs, basics of composition and design graphics, basics of branding, modeling of a theatrical costume, management of graduation projects. - Mezhevchuk Volodymyr OmelyanovychAssociate Professor, Honored Artist of Ukraine, Member of the National Union of Artists of UkraineFounder of the Department of Design. Graphic artist, painter, participant of international biennials, laureate of the International Competition '2000 Years under the Star of Bethlehem' – the first prize; diploma winner of competitions of book illustration. The works are in museums and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
Works in the industry of easel and book graphics, easel and monumental painting. Teaches the following disciplines as 'Academic Drawing', 'Academic Painting', 'Handwritten Font'. - Goncharov Vasyl OlemyanovychAssociate Professor, Honored Artist of Ukraine, Member of the National Union of Artists of UkraineParticipant of all-Ukrainian and international art exhibitions started from 1990. Practices in non-figurative painting, which has original ideas of iconic structures, peculiar figurative characteristics. The works are placed in private collections within Ukraine, France, Belgium, Holland, Austria, Germany, the USA. Works in the field of monumental, easel painting, graphics and graphic design. Teaches the following disciplines as 'Academic drawing', 'Academic painting', management of graduation projects.
- Iamroz Leonid StanislavovychSenior Lecturer of the Department of DesignWorks in the field of graphic design and publishing; participant of all-Ukrainian and international book exhibitions. He was working in the following design studios as 'Kentia' and 'Catalog-master' (Moscow), printing houses: 'Tuch Druck' and 'F. Seitenberg' (Vienna, Austria), collaborated with publishing houses 'New Vienna magazine' (Vienna), 'Casa Club' (Strasbourg), etc.
Teaches the disciplines as graphic techniques of web design, interface design, design in the field of design, hardware and software, management of graduation projects. - Ryabinova Iryna MykhailivnaLecturer at the Department of Design, postgraduate student at the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design.Works in the field of graphic, media design and publishing, author of scientific articles. Research interests are the following: history of art, history of design, graphic and media design, decorative arts.
Teaches disciplines as art history, arts and crafts and ornamentation, computer technology software and the basics of vector graphics, plastic anatomy, artistic design, management of graduation projects. - Zakharov Volodymyr IgorovychSenior Lecturer of the Department of DesignAuthor of scientific articles, teaching methods and training manuals. Has patents as an inventor. Research interests: electronic means of editing and presentation of graphic and multimedia objects.
